Installing OMSA in an Ubuntu machine

1.Add the Repos to the apt directory :

echo ‘deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/deb/latest /’ | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/linux.dell.com.sources.list

2.Verify the packages :

gpg –keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net –recv-key 1285491434D8786F

gpg -a –export 1285491434D8786F | sudo apt-key add –

3.Make apt aware about the new added repo

sudo apt-get update

4.Install OMSA :

“sudo apt-get install srvadmin-all”

5.Start Services :

sudo service dataeng start

sudo service dsm_om_connsvc start

6.Edit /opt/dell/srvadmin/etc/omarolemap file and add the required user and group permissions :

7. Test

webconsole : https://<ip_address&gt;:1311/

CLI : omreport system summary

Trouble shootings :

If unable to login to the webconsole using the users, check /etc/pam.d/ directory and rename omauth file

If getting any library issue, check for any previously installed versions,

dpkg -l | grep dell

If any previous versions found, remove it

Eg : dpkg -r dellomsa

and try install again
